My ex and I broke up 4 weeks ago due to his infidelities, drug abuse and anger problem. Since, he has been visiting my relatives and telling them I kicked him out, that I'm psycho and that I made up everything. The hard part is they believe him! They have given him money and a car and my aunt even offered him a place to live. My uncle was recently badmouthing me a family dinner and fortunately my other relatives came to the rescue. I am very hurt and don't know what to do...Help need advice in regards to a bad break up?
Apparently, your ex knew exactly which of your family members to turn to when he wanted to run you down, while taking advantage of them. Either he is an amazing charmer or these particular relatives were, for whatever reasons, anxious to believe anything bad about you. Perhaps you've been too perfect for their tastes?
Meanwhile, you have the advantage of knowing that it's just a matter of time before they all learn the truth. Especially the ones who gave him money, a car, and offered him a place to live. Of course you a very hurt! Who wouldn't be? Take comfort in the knowledge that, at this point, you are wiser than all of them.
