Is this a good or bad SPEC?? and advice please?
Try a better graphics card if your going to use it for gaming. Is this a good or bad SPEC?? and advice please?
It depends what you will be doing on your computer. If you want a good graphics card for movies, photos and general things like that, I'd suggest an nVidia 8600 series card. They are cheap and work very well. If you will be gaming, get something in the 8800 series. Your processor could you upgrading to a Dual Core if you like doing a lot of things at once on your computer. Your motherboard is fine but I would maybe suggest investing in a new Hard Drive (bigger) if you start to run out of space.
well would really be helpful to know what your using it for and what OS is being put on it. honestly though its going to be a rather weak computer. ddr is pretty outdated which is why the chips are so expensive. the ram and motherboard look to be your weakest links though but like i said it depends what your using it for. if your just a web browser and a few word processing programs it should be a good PC for you but if your wanting to game on it its going to fail you.
Ok...are you trying to update laptop or make/built a desktop...and 1/2gb for ram is kind of low these days....depending on what you're doing you'll need atleast 500gb of HDD and 3gb of ram....and of course dual core processor......:)
upgrade your video card.
umm for home or collage use its ok for gaming your doomed.
CyberpowerPC thats all you need go and have a look.
I don't understand exactly what do you want, but if you want to upgrade your computer, you can start from the easiest components, like video, Memory and Hard Disk.
More memory means that programs bigger programs can run faster, since they need to put data in memory, and the bigger it is, the better.
More Hard Disk is obvious, if you want more space to put your stuff, you need a bigger space.
Better video means faster graphics, better gaming, and better.
Ok, the hard disk can be upgraded to a bigger one if you one, and your mainboard supports SATA, I don't know if your current hard drive is SATA, but this technology it's better and faster to access information.
The Memory can be upgraded up to 2Gb of DDR2, since your mainboard can't support more. Make sure when you buy it, ask for 400MHz for your memory, since your mainboard doesn't support faster ones.
The Video is different, since the one you have it's integrated, you only have to buy any video card you want and connect your monitor to that one, instead of the integrated one. Your video card can be PCI 2x compatible, those are faster, Your mainboard supports them.
The last thing, since your mainboard it's the core of your computer, all upgrades depend on it, in other words, if your mainboard support those upgrades. Your mainboard is old and can only support Pentium 4-like processors. If you really want to upgrade your computer, you'd better buy a new mainboard that support the new Dual core products, Intel or AMD. You can keep your old hard drive and memory, but I'd recommend you to get more.
Your specs can't be said if they're bad since it depends on what do you use your computer for.
