Hi chica's.
Ive been totally sick for 3 days with a really bad nose cold, now with a cough.. itchyness! Its seriously driving me crazy, cause I cant sleep properly at nights, or even when im tired during the day! Have you had this in your late pregnancy? How do you cope? Please, im losing my mind. I just started taking ';Halls'; to, today they helped me sleep. I try tea with lemon, lots of water.. chicken noodle soup.. showers... NOTHING helps :( I want to feel better! Anything?
Thank you very much!!!!!!Help. 34 Weeks with a BAD cold. Any advice?
Hello,
I am a guy who is not a doctor, but I have a home remedy that will help ease your symptoms.
Take a regular drinking glass,(16oz)
Put in the juice of half a lemon
Add 6 drops of tabasco sauce.
Mix it up
Drink it quickly, and it will burn less.
It will dilate all the blood vessels and loosen the phlegm in the nose and lungs.
You may repeat as often as you like, but I have found symptoms ease for a few hours after taking it, and blowing my nose for a while.
The cold virus dislikes the spicy heat of the tabasco sauce more than you do.
I hope that you are brave enough to try this, because it is effective.
Congratulations and good luck with the baby.Help. 34 Weeks with a BAD cold. Any advice?
Don't drink tea... caffeine will make it worse. Don't have sugar. Try natural homeopathic medicines, they have some for everything, like headaches, colds, allergies, sinus problems, coughs, itchyness, etc. You can take all of these at the same time without any side effects, you can buy them online and i think some stores sell them.
My OB gave me a paper of medicines its okay to take while pregnant. I'll just list them for you and you can write them down. Its very helpful.
HEADACHE
Acetaminophen (Tylenol)
COLDS ALLERGIES SNIFFLES
Chlor-Trimeton
Sudafed
Actifed
Benadryl
COUGHS
Lozenges
Syrup (Robitussin DM or Similar)
HEARTBURN
Tums
Rolaids
Maalox
Mylanta
CONSTIPATION
Stool Softeners-Colace
Surfak
Metamucil
Hope that helps (:
Try drinking hot chamomile tea sweetened with sugar or huney....it really helped me :-) And also it's safe for you to take Sudefed PE ';Cold %26amp; Flu'; and that should wipe it out 1-2-3!!! Hope you feel better!!
vicks vapor rub and nasal saline. maybe some tylenol before bed to get rid of the body aches. you could also try sleeping in a recliner instead of lying flat in your bed (for the mucous).
hope you feel better soon, hon!
Not sure about your doc, but mine let me have Sudafed (the good stuff, not the PE version), which helped. Also, stay very hydrated, because that can help keep things flowing in the nasal department :)
rule 34. if you have it, im making pron of it!
Lots of orange juice!!! not made of concentrate. the real stuff!
